Life in Vienna for Jews was pretty ordinary before the war. As you can see they did recreational things like swimming and others. One thing that I discovered when I looking at my photos compared to the one from the holocaust was that all of the photos were usually taken with someone else because a photo is more memorable if there is someone else to remember it as well, this is also seen in the photo from the holocaust.
There are many things similar and different in the two photos. Some of the differences are that the picture from the holocaust is black and white and is a picture of a couple, whereas my picture is just of me and I am swimming not posing in front of the pool or lake. Some things that are similar between the two photos is that it is summer in both pictures as well as we are both doing the same recreational task of swimming even if the couple is about to swim.
